How do I start using Kanji Laundry?
You must sign up for a Kanji Laundry account
on our website. After doing so, you will gain access to a personalized client
page where you will be able to schedule your first pickup.
For when can I schedule pickups and deliveries?
Kanji Laundry picks up and
delivers client orders between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. each evening, Monday through
Saturday. Based on your location within our delivery range, we have indicated a
1-hour time window on your personalized client page during which you can expect
our driver to arrive at your home or apartment. Deliveries of client orders are
automatically scheduled for the next business day, however, clients can change
delivery dates online using the calendar provided on their personalized client
page.
What happens on my first pickup?
On your first pickup, our driver will arrive at
your home or apartment during the allotted time range indicated in your client
account. First time laundry service users will be billed C$10.00 for their first laundry bag (plus applicable sales taxes).
Similarly, first time dry cleaning or sewing service users will receive a
clothing bag for which they will be billed C$5.00, plus applicable sales taxes.
Our driver will wait while you fill up your bag(s) and accept any cash
you wish to deposit in your Kanji Laundry account.
How do I fund my Kanji Laundry account?
Kanji Laundry provides each client with
a personalized account upon signup that can be funded by cash or credit card.
Clients wishing to fund their account with cash can give deposits to our driver
on any scheduled pickup or delivery. Clients wishing to fund their account with
a credit card can do so online through their personalized client page. Kanji
Laundry accepts online credit card deposits from MasterCard, VISA, Discover,
Diners Club or American Express cards.
How do I reschedule or cancel pickups or deliveries?
Clients can manually
reschedule or cancel pickups or deliveries online by using the pickup and
delivery calendar provided on their personalized client page. Rescheduling or
cancellation of pickups or deliveries must be made before 3 p.m. in order for
the changes to take effect the same day.
What happens if I miss my scheduled pickup or delivery?
If you miss your
scheduled pickup or delivery, we will post a notice in your online account
indicating the missed pickup or delivery. The notice will ask you to select
another date for your order to be picked up or delivered.
Will I receive an invoice so that I know how much to pay?
When our driver
delivers your order, he will provide you with the total weight and amount due,
inclusive of applicable sales taxes. This information will also be posted to
your online account history within 12 hours of your order being picked up.
Clients have the option of receiving a paper invoice upon delivery or accessing
printable invoices online in their personalized account.
Is there a minimum weight for the laundry service?
Yes. In order to cover the costs of pickup and delivery,
Kanji Laundry requires at minimum of 15 pounds per client. If a client's bag weighs less
than 15 pounds, it will be charged as 15 pounds.
What type of clothes and items can I give to Kanji Laundry?
Kanji Laundry can
clean all personal and household laundry including hand washables, clothing
requiring line or flat drying, comforters, pillows, blankets and cushion covers.
What type of cleaning products do you use to treat my clothes?
Your clothes are
treated with specially formulated detergents and bleach products (if necessary)
to optimize the process of removing stains and thoroughly cleaning each article.
Can I give Kanji Laundry special instructions?
Yes clients can provide special
instructions on their personalized client page or by leaving them on a piece of
paper included with their order. Special instructions provided online will be
viewed by our staff each time that clients laundry is picked up for cleaning in
the future.
Can I give Kanji Laundry special detergent to clean my laundry?
Yes if you
would like Kanji Laundry to clean your laundry with special detergent, simply
give it to our driver and provide us with instructions either online in your
client account or on paper and include it with your order.
Who cleans my clothes?
Kanji Laundry employs a laundry staff comprised of
individuals trained to carefully sort, wash, dry and fold your clothes. If
required, your clothes will be hand washed, line dried or hang dried in
accordance with garment tags or special instructions that you provide online or
on paper with your order.
Where are my clothes cleaned?
Kanji Laundry cleans all clothing at its laundry
plant and dry cleaning facility located in downtown Montreal.
